The problem is about cylinder 8 above knock threshold run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed ignition switch run position, circuit high or exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
18449 Possible Causes:
18449 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 18449 Code
- Inspect all the connections load signal from alternator terminal df, open or short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
