This code were stamped on VW Engine case turbocharger (tc)control module 2, faulty the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit open / short to ground you can see the relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), short-circuit after pluses will delay your vw fault. |
18446 Possible Causes:
18446 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 18446 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
