18442 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about motor for intake manifold flap (v157), no signal causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm and wait then intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 1 is the final reason of the code. |
18442 Possible Causes:
18442 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

- Inspect all the connections power supply terminal 30, voltage too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
