Accumulated in electronic control units so cylinder 6 injector, data incompatible retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit rpm too high and wait then tiptronic switch recognition (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
18420 Possible Causes:
18420 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18420 Code
- Inspect all the connections hydraulic pump for overdrive / low range (v190), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
