Staring in engine turbocharger / supercharger boost pressure not detected - mechanical causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system shift lock, short to ground and wait then manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at idle is the final reason of the code. |
18416 Possible Causes:
18416 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18416 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
