The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault signal buzzer activation, short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high or change cylinder 2 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
18408 Possible Causes:
18408 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 18408 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
