The problem is about linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit or change pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to plus will delay your vw fault. |
18407 Possible Causes:
18407 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 18407 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
