The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault control module defective It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal low and valve for pump - jet: cylinder 9 (n305), regulation range exceeded will delay your vw fault. |
18404 Possible Causes:
18404 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18404 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, missing message from clutch control
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
