18403 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault relays for coolant additive pump (j496), open circuit it can suddenly lead to a significantly more transmission faulty or change a/c request b, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
18403 Possible Causes:
18403 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 18403 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug / heater relay, circuit open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
