Accumulated in electronic control units so engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit / open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit range / performance and diesel particulate filter differential pressure too high bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |

18403 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 18403 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'k' primary control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
