This code were stamped on VW Engine case data bus powertrain, missing messages retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit open circuit . So for next torque management feedback signal "a", low is the final reason of the code. |
18401 Possible Causes:
18401 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18401 Code
- Inspect all the connections givers 2 for intake air temperature (g299), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
