18401 Description And Summary : |

This code were stamped on VW Engine case evaporative emission system switching valve control, circuit / open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 3, probe 2 tension too small also control module defective is the final reason of the code. |
18401 Possible Causes:
18401 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 18401 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control, default not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
