184 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine ignition coil 'g' primary control, short to plus mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor turbocharger speed sensor, circuit high and pressure control valve 1 (n215), open / short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
184 Possible Causes:
184 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 184 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, voltage too low during deceleration
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
