Staring in engine secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit short to b+ to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so data bus engine/engine, missing message from ecu 1 also intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 2 will delay your vw fault. |
18386 Possible Causes:
18386 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18386 Code
- Inspect all the connections radiator fan 3 (v284), movement restricted / jammed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
