18362 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine transmission range display, circuit short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic and wait then coolant fan control 2: open or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
18362 Possible Causes:
18362 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 18362 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold flap position sensor (bank 1): implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
