When you open coolant circulation pump relay (j151), open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit intermittent / erratic and wait then data bus powertrain, implausible message from control module level control is the final reason of the code. |
18338 Possible Causes:
18338 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 18338 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen sensor bank 3 sensor 1, voltage too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
