This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 2 the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, short to b+ or change b camshaft position actuator control bank 1, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
18321 Possible Causes:
18321 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 18321 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, implausible message from level control module (j197)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
