This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake potentiometer 2 for egr (g466), signal too high or please check dtc memory of transmission ecu will delay your vw fault. |
18299 Possible Causes:
18299 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18299 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 16 (n393), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
