The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault bank 2 sensor 1, internal resistance implausible run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to b+ or change rough road / acceleration sensor, electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
18296 Possible Causes:
18296 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 18296 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor out of range during deceleration bank 2 sensor 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
