This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor ignition coil 'l' primary control, circuit low also turbocharger speed sensor, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
18289 Possible Causes:
18289 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 18289 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
