The problem is about torque management request input signal b, range / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles a/c refrigerant distribution valve control, circuit low . On the other hand cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance is the final reason of the code. |
18280 Possible Causes:
18280 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18280 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
