18266 Possible Causes:
18266 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18266 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
