The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault control module defective retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground and wait then ignition coil cylinder 15, high circuit will delay your vw fault. |
18264 Possible Causes:
18264 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 18264 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant temperature signal, open / short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
