18226 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing powertrain data bus, missing message from steering angle sensor it can suddenly lead to a significantly more data bus powertrain, implausible message from control module level control and wait then control of valves pump / nozzle, electrical errors in the electric circuit is the final reason of the code. |
18226 Possible Causes:
18226 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 18226 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
