The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault relays for small amount of heat (j359), short-circuit after pluses retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start injector cylinder 13 (n390), circuit high . On the other hand turbocharger speed sensor, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
18217 Possible Causes:
18217 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 18217 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
