18209 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine bank 1, system too rich at idle retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel shutoff valve "b" control, circuit high and wait then 'a rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
18209 Possible Causes:
18209 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 18209 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emission system switching valve control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
