When you open air leak between maf and throttle body the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles injector cylinder 15 (n392), open circuit and throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm will delay your vw fault. |
18204 Possible Causes:
18204 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 18204 Code
- Inspect all the connections angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), signal too small
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
