18191 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil 'l' secondary circuit, malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), implausible signal or change please check dtc memory of ecu number 2 is the final reason of the code.

18191 Possible Causes:

18191 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Reverse Input Circuit
  • Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 18191 Code

  • Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) short to b+
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
