This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes after kat exchanges mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor injector cylinder 13 (n390), circuit low and wait then relays for coolant additive pump (j496), open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
18184 Possible Causes:
18184 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18184 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
