This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to b+ also exhaust bank 3 main catalyst, effectiveness too low is the final reason of the code. |
18179 Possible Causes:
18179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18179 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater control bank 2, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
