When you open ignition coil 'd' primary control, short to plus retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit high and wait then charging system, voltage high is the final reason of the code. |
18173 Possible Causes:
18173 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 18173 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
