This something to do with the intake camshaft timing please check dtc memory of central electric ecu causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold runner control, circuit low bank 2 or change relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
18170 Possible Causes:
18170 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 18170 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), electrical
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
