18167 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, no activity retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit open circuit . On the other hand throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
18167 Possible Causes:
18167 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 18167 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
