This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit intermittent it can suddenly lead to a significantly more load signal stuck off also activation 2-unit injector valve, electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
18163 Possible Causes:
18163 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18163 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
