When you open nox trap, efficiency below threshold (bank 1) retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to ground . So for next control module 1 for cooling fan, faulty will delay your vw fault. |
18148 Possible Causes:
18148 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High

What To Check After Fixing 18148 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
