The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake event data recorder request, circuit high also bank 2, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g301) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation will delay your vw fault. |
18128 Possible Causes:
18128 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 18128 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
