This something to do with the intake camshaft timing turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid d (n389), signal high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system turbocharger control module, faulty you can see the accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (g185), signal too low is the final reason of the code. |

18123 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 18123 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle plate control 2, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
