When you open vehicle speed signal wheel speed from brake control module; range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit low and secondary air injection system control 'b', circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
18122 Possible Causes:
18122 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18122 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, missing message from control module battery monitoring
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
