Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more air leak between maf and throttle body or exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes before kat exchanges will delay your vw fault. |
18121 Possible Causes:
18121 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 18121 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
