The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault secondary air injection system switching valve bank 1, stuck closed retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature control bank 4, range / performance or change fuel pump, short circuit will delay your vw fault. |
18117 Possible Causes:
18117 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18117 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
