18106 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so throttle plate control 2, malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles starter interlock, circuit short to ground . So for next signal for back-up lights, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
18106 Possible Causes:
18106 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 18106 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
