The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault malfunction indication light (k83), short to b+ causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system please check dtc memory of steering wheel electronics . On the other hand turbo/super charger over-boost condition is the final reason of the code. |
18101 Possible Causes:
18101 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18101 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
