Staring in engine secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, performance or change performance malfunction in cooling system will delay your vw fault. |
18097 Possible Causes:
18097 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18097 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed signal, circuit short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
