18090 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open also intake manifold tuning valve (bank 1), stuck open is the final reason of the code. |
18090 Possible Causes:
18090 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 18090 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
