18088 Possible Causes:
18088 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18088 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
