This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition switch run/start position, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system fuel pump 2 circuit, electrical malfunction also vehicle speed signal wheel speed from brake control module; range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
18073 Possible Causes:
18073 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 18073 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / pump current, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
