The problem is about throttle actuator control system, forced engine shutdown It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448) also cylinder 1 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
18046 Possible Causes:
18046 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 18046 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel injection valve 3 (n368), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
