This code were stamped on VW Engine case post catalyst fuel trim system, low limit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), no signal or change relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
18045 Possible Causes:
18045 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 18045 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 11 above knock threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
