18040 Description And Summary : |

Diameter in engine throttle position output, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start a/c refrigerant pressure sensor 'b', circuit range / performance or fuel injector group 'c' supply voltage, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
18040 Possible Causes:
18040 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 18040 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature bank 1, too high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
