When you open linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit high or change exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
18038 Possible Causes:
18038 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 18038 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (3040), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
