The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel pump, short circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start bank 1, system too rich off idle . So for next bank 2, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g301) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation will delay your vw fault. |
18036 Possible Causes:
18036 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 18036 Code
- Inspect all the connections temperature sensors for drive cycle radiator exhaust (g382), signal too small
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
