18033 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 3 above knock threshold It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to ground . On the other hand ignition coil cylinder 16, low circuit is the final reason of the code. |
18033 Possible Causes:
18033 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18033 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
